Dispute Policy
How to report a problem with a lesson and how it is resolved.
Version 1 · in force since Wed 30 Sep 2026
PLACEHOLDER — LEGAL ACTION REQUIRED BEFORE PRODUCTION. This text describes how ShinyTeach works but has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
Reporting a problem
Students can report a problem with a lesson from the lesson page within 48 hours after it ends. Describe what happened and add evidence (messages, screenshots) if you can.
What happens next
- The teacher's earning for that lesson is put on hold while we review.
- Both sides can add their explanation and evidence. Safety reports stay confidential.
- ShinyTeach decides, based on the facts and the published policies: the lesson counts, the lesson is returned, or the student is refunded.
Timing
We aim to resolve reports quickly. Lessons not reported are completed automatically 24 hours after they end.
Payment disputes with your bank
If you dispute a payment with your bank instead, the related lessons may be suspended while the dispute is open.
