Cancellation Policy
How cancelling or rescheduling a lesson works.

Cancelling as a student
- Up to 24 hours before a confirmed lesson: free, and the lesson returns to your balance.
- Later than that: the lesson counts as taken and the teacher is paid.
- Before confirming, the app shows you exactly what will happen, calculated by our servers.
Rescheduling
You can propose a new time at least 12 hours before the lesson, up to 3 times per lesson. The other person must accept.
Cancellations by the teacher or by ShinyTeach
You are never charged for a lesson the teacher or ShinyTeach cancels: you get the lesson back to book again.
Pending requests
A lesson request the teacher does not answer in time expires, and your lesson stays in your balance.
